Time Is On Our Side When We Commit To Our Goals

It’s getting close to the end of the year and I would just like to revisit one of my posts that I wrote earlier this year about goals.  I talked about how setting goals is a perfect way to keep you on track in your business and in life.

How are you doing with the goals you have set for yourself this year?

As you probably already know, setting short term goals are very effective for daily tasks and monthly projects but long term goals need to be set also so that you keep your vision for your future in focus at all times.  The best way to achieve your long term goals is to break them down into smaller more manageable short term goals.

I’ve been reflecting on this concept the last few days and have come to a couple conclusions.  I realized that because I did complete my daily goals, I feel more confident in my vision for the future because of the purposeful activity I have taken this year.

And by taking action in my business I can now see more clearly what I need to do to achieve my goals for next year.

That, for me, is progress, as normally I would have set non-specific goals usually due to “outside conditions” which were beyond my control. “Outside conditions” are beyond my control but this year I didn’t let them interfere with my goals because I had a clear view for the future.

So by sticking to my short term manageable goals, my business and life have moved faster and more definitively closer to my vision for the future.

Time is on our side when we commit to our goals.

As a network marketer, I want to point out a few of the most important short term goals that are required for your business and will make your long term goals more manageable.

They might seem obvious but do you really have them written down as a goal?  If you haven’t already, add these to your lists of goals for the new year so that your 2017 will be your best year ever.

Lead Generation: This might take a few months to accomplish depending on the amount of time you can put in to this activity.  Make a goal to get at least 15 leads per day.  A good sustainable business can be had by a steady stream of 15 targeted leads a day.

What actions do you need to take for this to happen?

  1. Set a goal to master at least one social media platform like Facebook , Twitter or Instagram. Post daily relevant, practical content to get your audience’s attention and then send them to your blog and You Tube channel.

      2. Set a goal to be consistently writing blog posts and making videos that provides useful information to your target audience.  Doing one or the other every day will explode your business.

Build relationships: Set a goal to spend a little time each day engaging with your audience and communicating with your email list.

Make Money: Post product offers to your social media platforms and offer products in your emails.  This should be done a few times a week.

Personal Development: Set a goal to spend at least 15 min per day on you by visualizing your future, reading a personal development book, listening to audios of personal development.

Events: Set a goal to go to at least one company event.  This is huge.  Going to events will energize  and motivate you.  You will also spend a few hours with people who have a similar vision as you.  And I am sure you will learn a thing or two that you can apply to your business when you get home.

The goals I set out above are activities that should be done on a daily basis. Therefore, could be viewed as short term goals.  But if done consistently and with commitment, they will become your long term goals that will impact your business tremendously.
